In 2009 when Kevin and I backpacked the Philippines together for the second time, Vigan City was on top of our list of places to see. Every time when we asked people who have visited Vigan before they've described it as "the most unique place in the Philippines" or as a "place like no other". Especially my friend Leo (a World Heritage Pro) recommended us to visit Vigan by all means when travelling Luzon. No wonder.

Sunday's Favourite: Malagnang Festival
This picture was taken during the 5th Malagnang Festival (Mud Festival) in the Municipality of San Vicente in Palawan. Kevin and I were invited by our host Mike (owner of BlueCove Island Resort, Port Barton) to join him and his staff visiting this annual festival which is always held during the month of June.

It's our last day in Hoi An and we didn't only say goodbye to this picturesque village but also to our new friends we've met and traveled together the last couple of days: Juan, Eric, Micha, Micha's wife Iris and Gerdrun.
To Micha and Iris: See you guys in South Turkey!
To Juan: See you soon in Berlin or Buenos Aires!
Goodbye Hoi An. I will certainly come back to you my love.

Sunday's Favourite: Algarve

| Falesa - Algarve, Portugal |
This dramatic panorama is Algarve's most famous: the buff-coloured cliff, the clear blue Atlantic Ocean, endless beach, pine trees, whitewashed buildings and of course the warm light of the Mediterrenean sun.
It was the first Christmas I spent with my family outside of Germany and not in the Philippines.
More about my Algarve experience soon!
